Hiya Everyone!
I hope this beautiful day that the good Lord has made is finding you well.
We all know in the USA that Mother's Day is this coming up Sunday...well I have been pulling my hair out trying to come up with cards for my MIL and DIL. (My Mama passed away almost 7 years ago - so I don't get the joy of giving her a card...and I truly miss those opportunities!)
Oh my word, I have several different card bases cut and lying around on my desk, just waiting to become the beautiful cards I see in my little mind's eye...they just were NOT the "right" cards for either of the ladies on my list! But, FINALLY it came together! I am soooo happy that I have
Penny Duncan and her fabulous files to thank for my MIL's card and the one for my DIL was totally cased from Pinterest!! LOL And I used papers the I received in a RAK from my friend
Elizabeth for this one. So these cards are possible because of my friends!!! Thank you, Girls!
All of the elements - and I mean all except the ribbon and pearls - we cut using my
Silver Bullet Pro electronic cutter...have I told you how
totally fab it is?? LOL and
SCAL software...LOVE them both!!
This one is my Mother-In-Law's card...it will be hand delivered.
The rose and the "windows" are a pale pink iridescent vellum, and the card is #110 Staples Card stock in white. Using Penny's files, it was a breeze to put together (Thanks Penny, for such awesome files!!)
The inside is printed and then cut (utilizing the Print & Cut with the SCAL software and my SBP). I used a free image from
Astrid's Artistic Efforts for the design and then added the wording in the program.
This one is for my beautiful Daughter-In-Law...and it went in the mail today, so she should have it in plenty of time. :0) The card base is Green Bazzil Basics card stock and the designer paper is from DCWV The Sweet Blossom Stack (thanks again, Elizabeth...I love it!!)
Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mama's out there!
So that is pretty much all I have for today, But I most assuredly
thank you for taking a few minutes from your day and spending them with me! I hope to see you here again soon.
Until then,
